St. Peter's Senior Boys Volleyball Team 2019

St. Peter’s Senior Boys Volleyball Team are OFSAA Bronze Medalists!

On Thursday, November 21-23, the Panthers travelled to the OFSAA AAA Boys Volleyball Championship in Toronto.  After only losing one game to Albert Campbell C.I. (TDSSAA) in pool play, the team came out with a dominating 3-1 performance and ranked 1st out of the five teams.  In the Quarterfinal round against Ursuline College (SWOSSAA), the Panthers celebrated a 25-16, 25-21, 25-22 win. This advanced them to a tough Semi Final matchup against Oakridge S.S. (WOSSAA).   Although they dropped that game, they rallied and earned a huge win against Mississauga S.S. (ROPSSAA) to be crowned OFSAA Bronze Medalists! This marks the first OFSAA medal for a team sport performance in St. Peter’s C.S.S. history.

Congratulations Panthers!

St. Joan of Arc Senior Boys Football Team Represent GBSSA at OFSAA!

On Tuesday, November 26, the team travelled to McMaster University in Hamilton to compete in the OFSAA Simcoe Bowl.  This game featured our Knights against the Westgate C.V.I. Tigers of Thunder Bay. The Knights came out strong in the first half with some outstanding offensive drives and stellar defensive stops, leading for the entire half.  The second half saw a quick touchdown and conversion for JOA before an unfortunate turn of events and an end result of 28-13, which was not at all reflective of the successful season the Knights had. This season, the Knights played a number of games on the road in order to face top competition and bring that expertise back to Barrie where they dominated Barrie North C.I., 26-11,in the GBSSA Championship game.  This was the 6th year, out of the last 8, that St. Joan of Arc has represented GBSSA schools at OFSAA.

Congratulations on a tremendous run and an excellent season!
