Jason Boose

Jason BooseWithin the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, there are a tremendous amount of influential athletic leaders whom we wish to recognize. These exceptional staff members contribute to a competitive, vibrant, safe, and fair athletic experience for our student-athletes.

From Jean Vanier Catholic High School in Collingwood, we recognize the outstanding contributions of Jason Boose.  Jason has been teaching at Vanier for over 15 years and has played a key role as a coach, as well as a CSASC and GBSSA Sport Convenor.

Jason was nominated by his colleagues who shared:

“Jason is a passionate teacher-coach who has a full schedule all year long.  In the fall, not only does he coach two teams in the same season, Senior Tennis and Senior Golf, he also organizes CSASC qualifying tournaments and GBSSA Championships. In the winter months, Jason coaches the Storm Boys Hockey Team.  This past season, Vanier had the opportunity to host the OFSAA Boys A/AA Hockey Championship and the team was tremendously successful winning Gold on home ice! While helping to organize this special provincial championship, Jason received the OFSAA Leadership In School Sport Award.”

“He is always willing to lend a hand with any sporting event or team.  In the spring, Jason rounds up Junior tennis players and golfers, and positively influences these young student-athletes in the classroom and on the playing field.”

Jason, thank you for your remarkable athletic leadership and commitment to Catholic education!
