Male Student-Athlete of the Month: March 2017

Spencer Regan

Spencer is the March CSASC Male Student-Athlete of the Month.  In Grade 9 at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Barrie, Spencer has made a strong impact on fellow Jaguars in his first year.

Teacher-coach Richard Gallant said, “Spencer was a valuable member of the St. Joseph's Junior Boy's Basketball team this year.  As the season progressed, he emerged as a team leader with a strong combination of offensive output, defensive tenacity, and great team spirit.  In the playoffs, Spencer truly came into his own, averaging 23 points a game as the Jaguars roared to secure the CSASC and GBSSA Championship titles.  Spencer was also a member of the Junior Boys Soccer team in the fall, playing a key role in the team's central midfield”.

Congratulations on your success this year and good luck in the rest of your high school career!

Female Student-Athlete of the Month: March 2017

Megan Muller

Megan is the March CSASC Female Student-Athlete of the Month.  As a Grade 10 student at Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School in Orillia, not only does Megan excel on the wrestling mat for the Flames, but she is also an exceptional student.

Teacher-coach Jason Janisse said, “After working extremely hard to return to play after a severe concussion, Megan performed dominantly this season. She won gold at the GBSSA Championships, and at the Ontario Amataeur Wrestling Association’s Cadet Provincials. Her dedication to training paid off when she earned these two honours and advanced to her second appearance at the OFSAA Championships”.

Congratulations on your achievements Megan and best of luck in your future endeavours!
