Jag’s pair finish Top 5 in Canadian Rowing Championship

June 2 -4, 2017, St Catharines hosted the 72nd Annual Canadian High School Rowing Championships. This is an event open to all high schools across North America. It is one of the largest high school regattas in Ontario, as well as Canada. Eight crews from St. Joseph's and one from St. Joan of Arc competed in this event and performed very well. For the second year in a row, St. Joe's had a crew qualify for the finals. The Junior Men's Double with Tallon Zecca and Nathan Gailitis rowed their hearts out and earned a 5th place finish. This is an incredible accomplishment and we are very proud of them!!The current regatta format consists of 36 weight class and non-weight class events encompassing sculling and sweep categories. Trophies and banners are presented to the points champion of the boys division, the girls division and to the overall school points champion. The Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Championship regatta is open to any recognized high school in the world.”

Congratulation Nathan and Tallon!
